New Battlefleet Gothic: Armada Narrative Trailer

Today Focus Home Interactive released a new narrative trailer to launch their pre-orders of the game and it looks awesome.

Also until Friday, 29 January 2016, 18:00 GMT they Games Workshop are running their midweek madness sale which is offing 10% off the retail price of this game and upto 90% off some of their other titles, so it is well worth a look.

News/Rumours – Leaked images of the new Tau models

Images dropped last night on the Warhammer Tau Blog and then spread like wildfire around the internet of the rumored new Tau models release. This release had originally been rumoured for mid-September, it now appears to be October 10th by the cover of the White Dwarf below, and I’m really looking forward to this.

The new massive Riptide variant on the cover of the November Issue of Warhammer Visions called Stormsurge, thought to be Games Workshop’s answer to the amazing Forgeworld R’Varna Battlesuit.

Sporting a huge shoulder mounted Rail weapon (though is you compare the cover of Warhammer Visions to the back of White Dwarf you will see that the shoulder weapon changes, so there will be at least 2 options for this weapon), 4 seeker missiles, a huge main missile pod payload, and a host of secondary smart missile systems, it is sure to bring the pain to your opponent on the table, and increase competition for an already heavily contested Heavy Support slot.

If that was all, we would have been happy, but Games Workshop went the extra mile. Releasing a new design of Firewarrior which are a welcomed improvement, minor alterations to the XV8 battlesuit design (seems to be able to pivot at the waist), and another smaller Riptide variant sporting an Ion Cannon style weapon and Fusion Guns. This smaller variant has been rumored to be a “Stealth” variant, which would be awesome.

With still more than 3 weeks to go until this release hits the shops, I, as I am sure every other Tau player is getting very excited, and are counting the days until it hits the shelves.

Not to forget, the Forgeworld Tau titan that went on sale last week at the Forgeworld open day, and will hopefully go on general release in the coming weeks, this is a very good time to be a Tau player.

Warhammer World open Day 2015

This weekend was the Warhammer World re-opening day and from what we saw from afar it looked to be an amazing event. Of particular interest was finally getting to see the new Warlord Titan complete, assembled and a few of them painted and they looked epic!

And someone was nice enough to snap a photo of the stats from the next Horus Heresy book, This will be a hard nut to crack with a base armour of 15, 30 Hull points and from the images above looks like 8 void shields. In a 30k Game it is nearly indestructible without other Titans (as it should be), and even in the current Eldar 40k meta at the moment, with more D than you can shake a stick at, it is still formidable.

Not to overshadow this, Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines and Sigismund, First Captain of the Imperial Fists, were also on sale. They look amazing! ForgeWorld have really captured the essence of the Primarch and the first Captain.

There were a couple of things which sneaked under the radar with a Chaos Knight conversion kit, a legs conversion kit for the Lord of Skulls, and a Nurgle (Demon Prince/ Grater Demon thing).

Many thanks to everyone who posted pictures during the event especially @Dark_Spartan_UK, @OnTheLam, @blacklibrarium, @lillegendstudio, and Rictus over on recalcitrantdaze for his amazing high-res pictures from the day.

Rampant Rumours – Mechanicus, Knight Titans, and new brushes

This has been the week of great reveals, while it has been discussed for a while, we now have images of the new Cult Mechanicus models to be released very soon.

In addition to this we also seem to have a new set of brushes coming from the Citadel Studios. This one seemed to sneak under the radar, which should not be supprising considering the wealth of rumours above.

As these are leaked images of the new White Dwarf, they are pretty much confirmed. Today the Games Workshop website seemed to be displaying an error.

This error seems to confirm the Warden rumours, while the link does lead to a 404 error page it is an interesting confirmation, I’m looking forward to the coming weeks.

40k Warlord Titan – New Image from the ForgeWorld Studio

Today’s ForgeWorld newsletter, covering the recent Salute weekend contained a small section referencing the last few seconds from the ForgeWorld visual feed. Those few seconds gave us a glimpse of a would be Warlord Titan, an amazing prospect in all rights.

Warlord Titan Teaser Image

There was a lot of speculation, as to if this was actually a Warlord or a new pattern of Knight Titan, that was until they looked closer at the video which seemed to indicate the new model dwarfed a Reaver Titan. Today, the ForgeWorld newsletter gave us all confirmation of a something very, very big being worked on in the studio, and now with a scale reference. Check it out.

I like many other #Warmongers are excited to see this project completed, though we can only guess at the price…

Forgeworld Warlord Titan teaser in the Horus Heresy Book 5 video

Today, Forgeworld released a new video for their 5th book in the Horus Heresy series: Tempest

A Storm is Coming

But the internet is a wash with speculation about the last 20 seconds of the video, where it appears to show a new Warlord Titan.

My initial impression was that this was a new Knight Titan variant like a combination of a Knight Titan and a Thanatar with the shoulder mounted weapon. Then it was pointed out to me that at 0:58 you can see the shoulder of the new titan, is easily half again bigger than a Reaver titan and as the titan scale image by awaken realms image below shows it could not be a Knight, it has to be something new.

I’m looking forward to this, time to start saving…
