A small party ensues at the freehold, just a few people and I move over to one of the largest groups and start by laying out a few of the mysteries of the universe to each of them to engage them in an intellectual debate, firstly: To the first one I ask "Isn't it unnerving that doctors call what they do ‘Practice'" he tips his head then sniggers slightly. To the second, a Wilder Ghilli Dhu from the southern provinces I ask "Where do forest rangers go to ‘get away from it all?" To the third, I ask "If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?" The female Sidhe that had been watching the proceedings from a distance walks up and to her I ask, "If a man is standing inside a forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him... is he still wrong?" This excitement has started to draw a small crowd as nobody seems to be able to answer these questions reasonably then I pose the question "Why do they lock the petrol station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will clean them?" To finish off I disperse a number of pieces of zen for my visitors: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who scratches ass should not bite fingernails. Man who fights with wife all day get no piece at night. Man who drops watch into toilet bound to have a crappy time. Crowded elevator smells different to a midget. Moments later Krynn moves over to me and says "why sir those are very witty comments but it would be advisable to retire your performance for the night as the peasants are getting restless". (Spend 1 xp Social trait – Witty). In my short sighted, overconfident, unhinged manner I show off to the crowd by using my athletics abilities (Spend 1 xp) to roll under the table followed by a back flip on to the table I just rolled under then a cartwheel along the edge, a further back flip and hook my feet onto the chandelier then swing across and leap doing a flip in the air so that when I land I am facing the audience. Stunned silence then cheers and claps then I retire to my room satisfied at this most equitable outcome. Power is for those who seize it. I need to seize an opportunity for advancement and that means looking for someone who has the power to grant me what I wish and someone who is not biased against Pooka or me. I return to the study and walk over to my desk, open my Rolodex and flick through, who would fit my criteria (you decide).
